Porcelain Crowns & Bridges
Custom-fabricated restorations that mimic natural tooth structure.
Overview
Porcelain crowns and bridges are custom-fabricated restorations that restore the function, strength, and aesthetics of damaged or missing teeth. Dr. Amini uses premium ceramic materials including lithium disilicate (e.max) and zirconia to create restorations with exceptional strength, natural translucency, and precise fit.
Who This Is For
- Patients with cracked, fractured, or heavily filled teeth needing crowns
- Those with one or more missing teeth requiring bridge restoration
- Individuals who have had root canal treatment requiring crown protection
- Patients with existing crowns or bridges that need replacement
Who This Is Not For
- Patients with active gum disease (must be treated first)
- Those with teeth too damaged to support a crown (may need extraction and implant)
- Individuals with untreated occlusal dysfunction affecting bridge longevity
- Patients with severe bruxism without a protective nightguard
The Process
Evaluation & Preparation: Dr. Amini examines the tooth or teeth, performs any needed core buildup, and prepares the tooth to receive the restoration. Digital impressions capture precise details.
Provisional Restoration: A temporary crown or bridge is fabricated and placed to protect the tooth and maintain function and appearance during fabrication.
Custom Fabrication: Your restoration is crafted by an expert ceramist using layered ceramic techniques that replicate the optical characteristics of natural teeth.
Delivery & Cementation: The restoration is tried in, adjusted for fit and bite, and permanently cemented using advanced adhesive techniques.
